Natasha Kelemen, Principal & Founder, brings 20 years of experience in organizational capacity building, program development, and immigration to her consulting practice. Her work includes supporting nonprofits and community groups to develop new resources and programs, providing organizational assessment and capacity building services, and guiding foundations and service providers on immigration issues. A conceptual and systems thinker, Tasha has a track record of success in building sustainable and collaborative projects and implementing capacity building initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.  She has generated millions of dollars in support for small- and medium-sized nonprofits and community groups.

Tasha moved to the United States in 1999 and found an unexpected long-term home in Philadelphia, a city she loves deeply. Her own migration story – including Belgian and Indian grandfathers and British and Dutch grandmothers – has shaped her interest in immigration and desire to support others whose migration experiences are so different from her own.  Tasha’s life has been strongly shaped by a neuroimmune disease that she acquired in her mid-20s following a tropical illness.  In consulting, she has found an effective way to contribute her skills and experience while balancing time for family and other interests.

Prior to starting her practice in 2016, Tasha held leadership positions in immigration, health and civic engagement, including Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition and Refugee Health Coordinator at the Nationalities Service Center.  In these roles, Tasha worked with diverse partners to conceptualize and lead the development of cross-sector collaborative projects, including PA is Ready!, a statewide project to build immigrant legal assistance and organizing capacity, and the Philadelphia Refugee Health Collaborative, a coalition to create an equitable and high-quality system of refugee health care in the region. Tasha’s previous roles include Board Member at Pennsylvania Voice, Health Services Director at SEAMAAC, and independent research consultant with Branch Associates.

Tasha is an affiliated organizational development consultant with the LaSalle Nonprofit Center and has taught graduate-level classes on immigration and macro social work practice at Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania.  She holds a Master of Social Service degree from Bryn Mawr College and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Bristol, U.K.  She is a Standards for Excellence PA Licensed Consultant and a registered Professional Fundraising Counsel with the PA Department of State.
